Rates

The rates applied to International Roaming service vary between countries. At the time of requesting the service, the local carrier will inform the client about its current rates according to destination.

Requirements

Mobile customers visiting Costa Rica and attempting to do roaming must make a prior contact with their cellular provider at home in order to obtain roaming service information and its activation.

Consults

Mobile customers visiting Costa Rica with TDMA service may dial *611 for access to customer care from ICE, calls are toll free. They can also dial 193 to access customer care or send an e-mail to icecelular@ice.go.cr

 

GSM Technology (1800 MHZ)

Countries

ICE has been working lately to have the corresponding agreements signed in order to offer GSM roaming to ICE customers using the GSM standard. Today GSM customers of the following countries can now visit Costa Rica and use the roaming service.

*Para los países u operadores que trabajan con la banda 850 MHz se deberá utiliza teléfonos GSM con la misma banda.

**En el caso de estos operadores se debe de alquilar un Terminal en el país visitado, esto debido a que trabajan en una tecnología diferente a la del ICE.
